Parks:

Lake Roland Park

Over 500 acres of woodlands, wetlands, serpentine barrens, rare plants and rocky plateaus. The park features a scenic lake, a sophisticated nature center operated by Baltimore County Park Rangers, extensive forested trails for walking, running and biking, Paw Point (an award-winning off-leash dog park), and Acorn Hill (a children’s natural play area).

Stoney Run Park

A three mile, forested trail that follows the Stoney Run Creek, starting along the southern border of North Roland Park and extending past Johns Hopkins University Homewood Campus to Wyman Park. The park’s trails are excellent for walking, running and birding, and are dog friendly

Public Transportation:

Light Rail

The Falls Road Station of the Maryland DOT Light Rail system is located immediately adjacent to North Roland Park, with convenient service south to BWI airport, downtown Baltimore, M&T Bank Stadium (home of the Baltimore Ravens) and Orioles Park at Camden Yards (home of the Baltimore Orioles), and north to Baltimore county and Hunt Valley

Bus Transportation

There are several Maryland DOT bus routes connecting North Roland Park with Towson, to the north, and downtown, to the south.

Bicycle Routes:

Bike Lanes

Dedicated, on-street bicycle lanes begin at Lake Avenue in North Roland Park and run all the way downtown to Baltimore’s Inner Harbor

Jones Falls Trail

The bucolic, off-road, protected, multi-purpose Jones Falls Trail, for walking, running and biking, originates immediately next to North Roland Park, in Mount Washington, and runs past Cylburn Arboretum, through funky Clipper Mills and beautiful Druid Hill Park, to connect with bike lanes that run to the Inner Harbor

East Coast Greenway

The East Coast Greenway, is an ambitious pedestrian and bicycle path, currently under construction, extending along the East Coast of the U.S., from Maine to Florida. The ECG runs through North Roland Park.
