Here is an update as of March 5, 2024 from BGE’s Operation Pipeline team: Completion of the gas main construction is estimated to be finished by the end of March (weather permitting).
Once all customers have been converted to the new gas mains and the old mains have been abandoned, permanent road restoration will take place.
The current paving is temporarily put in place until the contractor completes the gas upgrade project that is ongoing in the neighborhood. Paving typically takes 4-6 weeks to complete, leaving the overall project, including paving, to be finished approximately at the end of April.
We are seeing new permanent paving of some streets in North Roland Park, notably Gilmarys Road.
